Growing up as a competitive figure skater, with 2 Boston Marathons and an Ironman 70.3 under her belt, as well as recently venturing into the world of competitive fitness, it’s safe to say Dr. Marr has had her fair share of aches and pains. As a varsity athlete while studying Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University, it was her Chiropractor who kept her injury free and focused, whether it be nerve, muscle, or joint related pain. This drove Dr. Marr to continue her studies to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, obtaining her degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON. She went on to obtain her certificate in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University and has been certified as an ART® (Active Release Techniques) and Graston Techniques provider. Also a Certified Personal Trainer, Dr. Marr is a strong advocate for all aspects of health related to living a healthy lifestyle.
Competing at National and International levels, Dr. Marr’s athletic background and experience working with sports teams has allowed her to help patients through a wide range of acute and chronic sporting injuries. Although she has worked with athletes of all levels, Dr. Marr finds it equally, if not more rewarding, to help those who consistently experience chronic pain make simple activities of daily living that much more comfortable. Above all, her number one priority is to help each patient reach their own personal goals related to their overall health and wellness.
